A message from the community

December 14th, 2016

Dear Lifewater & Sponsor,

For a long time, the people of Acres of Hope community have been drinking from unsafe wells, creeks and rivers. But today we are so grateful to you for constructing a hand pump and providing our community with safe drinking water.  We take this time to extend our thanks and appreciation to you in our own Liberian way, we say thank you ever so much.  We hope and pray that God will continue to bless your organization as you continue to help save lives by bringing safe drinking water and sanitation to the people of Liberia.

Thanks yours truly,

Comfort Monganlee

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The people of the community thanked Lifewater for the educative workshop conducted on November 18,2016 with 27 people in attendance.

This community is situated in a low land part of Duazon after Sureway community. Acres of hope is a newly established community where huge construction work is going on and more people are pouring in each day. Because of this increase in population coupled with it's location in a sandy area with no hand dug wells, the problem of safe drinking water was now a big burden for them. They would travel to other communities to find safe drinking water and they also would use water from the swamp for washing, cooking and other things. With the intervention of Lifewater, this community now has a new hand pump, providing them with safe water.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
