Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, The community people of Wheayen Town are very pleased for the job well done by installing a new hand pump to supply good water, which we have started to drink today. May God promote you to the highest position forever, Amen. Thank you, Henry Sacbie |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

This town is located a few miles from Bong Mines. According to the Chairman & resident Mr. Fillie, many people who were retired by the Bong Mines Company, bought land from the Wheayen people and built, thereby enlarging the population from 105 to 615 people. There was no hand pump in this town, so the people would have to walk 10 minutes to get water. Many other water related organizations did not follow through on promises to bring water, but Lifewater & Sponsors were able to make this happen. On June 21, 2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted for this community of people with 46 participants. The people gave thanks to the Lifewater Liberia Team. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
