Handee Town is a 45 minute drive from Bong Mines in Bong County, Fuamah District, which is the main headquarters for that District.

Stomach problems, diarrhea, and typhoid has been a problem in this town due to the lack of safe drinking water. The people here have been using open hand-dug wells, rivers and creeks to get their water.

On July 25,17 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted for the people of this community with 27 participants who will help educate others within the community. Some of the training included in the workshop is how to handle foods and their environment, ways to purify water in the absent of a pump, and safe practices in the absent of a latrine.

A well was drilled in this town and the people have been educated on how to maintain the pump and keep the area around the well clean and safe. 

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
