Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, The families of Kpain Town say a very big thank you, and may the Lord our God be with you all. We are very happy with the water that you gave us. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to God Almighty for loving hearts that continue to make available safe drinking water for the most vulnerable women and children who are in dying need. This community is located along the Robert International Airport highway. It is a very large community with huge population concentration. Kpan Town community comes from diverse backgrounds, a larger number of the population are young people whom are basically engage with schooling activities while other who do not have the financial support are engage in petite trade for their livelihood. The issue of safe drinking water has been a major challenge for the residence of this community and parts adjacent. People of Kpan Town rely on open hand dug wells for their source of water. These wells do not have enough water to meet the population size of the community couple with the drop in the water table during the dry season has been the problem of the people of Kpan Town community. Safe drinking water has been highlighted by health officials as very important during the ebola crisis. This pump erected by our team has receive huge commendation from the entire community for such a timely gesture. On Dec 5,2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was held for this town and 20 people participated. The people of this community expressed thanks to our team and are hopeful of benefitting of future projects from Lifewater. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
