A message from the community

Dear Lifewater & Sponsors,

Greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We the people of Lower Bible Joe Town, say "Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!". We say thank you for giving us a safe hand pump and safe water to drink.

May God bless you all who made this possible.

The People of Lower Bible Joe Town

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The town is located on the way to Marshal Town, in the district of Mabakaba and upper Margibi county.

Bible Joe Town was named after a man who started living in this fishing community, years ago. This populated community of 3,000+ of mostly young people, depend on fishing from the ocean as their major means of livelihood.

On January 5,2018 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted for this community and 25 people participated.

When the Lifewater drilling team came to this town to drill, everyone was so happy and came to see the machines working for the first in the history of this town.

They are so grateful to God and thankful to the sponsors and the Liberia drill team.

Special thanks also to the following church's for helping make this project possible:

  • Bethlehem CRC (Thunder Bay, ON)
  • Holland Marsh CRC (Holland Marsh, ON)
  • Little Current United Church (Little Current, ON)
  • St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (Thunder Bay, ON)
  • The Church Of The Epiphany (Woodstock, ON)

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
