Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

This populated community is located along the Marshall highway in the lower Margibi County. It is just about a minutes drive from the Boy's Town junction, bending on the first road on your right. The community is very large, population with 1,000 children, women and men. Most of the houses are built, but more are rising all the time! The community is very sandy and level... like a desert! And like a desert, there was no safe drining water! The community has been in dying need of safe drinking water for a long, long time. The only source of water is nearby creeks and swamps, which are not safe for drinking. They have open dug wells but the water is bado and normally goes dry during the hot season. When there is water, it carries bado smell. Before the Health & Hygiene team came, the people were living in ingnorance, puting themselves and their little ones at risk. The people who attended the Health & Hygiene workshop on February 25,2018 received information and instruction to pass on to others. The H&H team educated them patiently, and the people were eager to learn new things and excited to put these new hygiene ideas into practice. With this new well and new information acquired about good health, the people will have a better chance of living a long and healthier life. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
