A message from the community

Dear Sir/Madame,

The gift of water carries a value that really is invaluable.  We are so very thankful that the rig that can drill into rock has been repaired and refurbished to be better than it every has been before.  Thank you for making that possible.4

For us here at Lifewater Liberia Inc, we see daily the price that is paid if this gift is not available.  Children are sick and many perish, everyone suffers from illness and daily from the taxing job of fetching water from rivers and swamps far from their homes.  Even harder in seasons when these sources are dried p and no water is available. We have been struggling as our LS350 rig has been down and unable to drill in hard rock.  It has  been difficult for us for a long time as problem after problem has tapped our resources and caused great delays.  We have suffered, our people have suffered!

Now this is no longer the case for we are rejoicing as our rig is back in full operating condition.  We give thanks to Lifewater Canada and our friend Paul who came to help us make the repairs and improvements and to our friends overseas who supported the work and the purchase of so many parts that we need to keep drilling and give people safe water to drink.

Thank you so much

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The big components arrived some time ago, but had to wait until we had all the parts necessary to convert the drill truck and rig to accommodate the new parts.  The list was daunting and insurmountable for us. With the help of our sponsors, we were able to purchase needed hydraulic air hoses as well as spares, obtain new drill truck tires, make temporary wooden supports to stabilize the drill truck during drilling until the new hydraulic truck jacks could be installed.  2 new 100amp batteries, new drill bits and hammer were also purchased and significant repairs were done to the power unit.  With your help  we were able to overcome these obstacles and get the rig up and running, testing out the new components on a well close to our compound to work out any quirks and do last minute adjustments. What a blessing to the people of Liberia and an encouragement to the team here at Lifewater Liberia Inc.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
