Dear Sir/Madame,
On behalf of the Oldfield community also known as Peace Island, we would like to extend to you our thanks and deep appreciation to the Lifewater family and the Last well organization who have made it possible for us to have this great new handpump. It is a life saving gift to us. May the Almighty God who we serve bless the sponsors and the operation staff for their concern and dedication to the people of this community. Sincerely Sam Jonah |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

The Old Field Community is located right after Grand Bassa Government Hospital and adjacent Brumskine Methodist Church. This Community is situated on very large level open field from whence it got its name. The story goes like this, way back this land was like a desert area and was used by the youth all around as a sports ground while some other used it as place to go to toilet. Today houses are built all around but the name remains the same. It has a sandy terrain with nothing but sand grass growing all around. They have houses built of bamboo mats and some of metal sheets. They have no safe drinking water. There source of water comes from hand dug wells that goes dry in the dry season and there is less rainfall. Some of these hand dug wells are covered and some are not. Even during the rainy season their open hand dug wells are, because of sandy ground, undermined by erosion. This kind of condition causes the inhabitants to always suffer from running stomach. During the Workshop held by the Lifewater HH Team, the locals were taught on how to keep their environment clean for a healthy living. the dwellers of Oldfield Community where children lives were lost because of no safe drinking water. The inhabitants were all novices when it comes to the basic hygiene practices but through the help of God, Lifewater HH Team provided not only the knowledge of how to take care of their health but also safe drinking water that will help prevent diseases. Evangelistic Report: As the Lifewater drilling team continued to bring safe drinking water to the people of , Grand Bassa County, the inhabitants of Old Field Community were joyfully seen worshipping and giving thanks to God for his goodness and loving kindness towards the people of Grand Bassa. They gathered and prepared themselves to receive God's Divine Gift Safe Drinking Water and the Eternal Gift Of Salvation. They celebrated the Gift of Water and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the drilling was going on they jointly offered prayers to God for giving them safe drinking water. Lifewater Evangelism Team in collaboration with Youth Vision Gospel Outreach Team gathered community members to share the Good News of Salvation. It was taken from the Book of Matthew 1:21 which was read and shared with the people. Afterwards, 2 persons give their lives to Jesus Christ. Their testimonies drew the attention of other community members who joined them to sing songs of praises for drilling team to be successful in the completion of the well project in their community.
