A message from the community |

Dear Sir: We write to tell you how much we appreciate your assistance. We have been suffering to get water fit to drink and longing for a handpump. We thought no one cared until Lifewater Liberia Inc. provided us one and we are very grateful. Therefore in one accord, men, women, children and our elders offer to you our deep thanks and gratitude. May God continue to bless you all. James Mukolo, Comminity Elder |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

This Community is located opposite Compound #3 Police Station before reaching to On Your Own Community. This Community was established by Samuel Clinton in 1999. It is a large Community that is also highly populated. Their main source of survival is subsistence farming. The source of water for this community is like other areas depending on open hand dug wells for all their water needs. The environment is quite clean through the efforts of the local chief and community members, but the lack of safe and clean water source have been a serious challenge for these people. Lifewater's desire for safe drinking water for every child in Liberia was well recieved by the inhabitants of Criton Estate. They were very grateful to all for remembering them at this time as the suffering for water has been the focus of their prayers for long time.
This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
