A message from the community

Dear Sir,

Everyone in our village wanted to have a chance to say thank you for this new well.  It is so good to have safe water to drink and to know that our children can avoid the sickness that drinking bad water has caused over the years.  Thank you!

The well you have provided will be well cared for and is much appreciated.

Sincerely

Pa Moses Conway

Elder

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

This community is located at the lower part of Compound # 3 near the swamp where sand for construction work is dug, clay is abstracted to sell, for garden purposes and where  the locals  use as toilet sites due to the lack of Toilet facilities in the area.

This Community is newly established ,  populated with no good water  source.  Their water source have been the swam water and the near a by  creek. The water is obtained from extracted sand pits.

On Your Own Q-2 is infected with various water borne diseases like skin rashes, running stomach, vomiting because of worms, typhoid etc. Many of the parents are jobless, therefore they support their family by doing contracts, sand digging, farming, burning coal and making cement blocks.

The Lifewater H and H Team help them  with basic health and hygiene safety practices   for  their lives by conducting a Workshop, teaching them about causes of  sickness on them and early death. The participants absorbed the lessons well and were very thankful to the team.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
