Poinahn Quarter #3 is part of the bigger community referred to as Poinahn. Poinahn is a traditional name in the Bassa language meaning, 'A Place of Rescue'.

It is largly populated with many women and children who depend on petty trade and subsistence farming for their livelihood. This community, unlike others, is at the end of the bush where there is no close-by connection with other communities.  

The lack of safe drinking water and other basic services in that area remain the challenge for a long time, until Life water came in to help care for their safe water needs with a hand pump.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
