Dear Sir:

All of us here at the Camp wish to thank you for the able manner in which you constructed the community handpump for us.  Sir we can assure you that the maintenance of this pump will be carried out in the appropriate method to keep the safe water flowing to all.

Thanks again to you and to the God Almighty. We ask Him to continue to strengthen your hands that the works that you do will continue strong.

Respectfully yours,

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Camp Mechlin, commonly called Garmon Camp is located along the Firestone- Buchanan Highway. The place has a very youthful population which is dominantly males due to the presence of a company that is involved with a rural electricity project in the area.

Their main source of drinking water is from hand dug wells, creeks and nearby rivers. This source of water posed threats to them because of the random burial sites in the town.

The Lifewater Health & Hygiene team went around the community and notice that their sources of water were life threatening.  We advised them during the workshop to always follow the teaching and protect themselves from getting sick because of bad water condition. We stressed the importance of keeping the burial sites and washrooms away from the well.

After the workshop, the people of Camp Mechlin thanked the Team and their sponsors for coming to educate  them on the importance of a clean environment and promised to always practice what they were taught.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
