A message from the community |
Dear Sir/Madame, We are so very grateful for your help to reach so many villages this month. It has been hard on our country, the chronic fuel shortage and the rising costs of everything. In the past year, our currency has fallen 50%. Our fuel comes from Venezuela, and because of the problems there, we often go without fuel for weeks at a time. This means people can't work and often can't even find food to feed their children. In these desperate times, safe drinking water is more important than ever since people can't afford to buy water and there is often no fuel to bring water. The local water holes have unsafe water, causing children to get sick and there is no money for medicine or doctors. Many groups have come and gone over the years, and their pums often sit broken for months or years. Whevever we find them, we help the people fix them. It is so gratifying to see safe water flow again where the tap has been dry for so long. The people are very excited and happy. Thanks for making this happen. Your help to make it possible to get to villages whose pumps are broken has been a blessing and a gift from God. Thank you so much for coming to our aid. Hanania Orelus Program Coordinator |
