Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
When people don't have toilets, they defecate outdoors. This creates very unsanitary and disease-breeding conditions, especially when rains come and the excrement begins to migrate throughout a community. Community toilets and accompanying hand-washing stations like the new ones at Dobi are truly life-saving. Pastor Sam runs a prayer outreach ministry here in Dobi. He had relocated his family to a safer side of town due to incessant robberies where they used to live. Earlier, Lifewater/Water Products had assisted the community with water. As people gather regularly for prayer and worship, there was palpable need for toilet. People are often seen looking for covers in the bush to defecate. This major problem has now been solved to God’s glory and for the benefit of God’s people. |
