A message from the community

The Miguye Primary School community cordially appreciates your effort to provide us with clean water and sanitation. On April 7, 2022, your technical team visited the school, inspected and then repaired our hand pump that has long been non-functional. May this mutual relationship continue to thrive as we hope for better things in future for our community.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Miguye Primary School in Nyando sub-county, in Kenya's Kisumu County, has about 500 students. All of them and the surrounding community have depended on a nearby well for their drinking and sanitation needs.

Unfortunately, the hand-powered pump on the well broke down last year -- leaving everyone with no safe water source. Lifewater's repair team arrived recently and, thanks to our donors, invested several hours in fixing the broken pump. The students and the community at large were excited to have access to safe water. They promised to take care of the pump.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
