A message from the community

I kindly appreciate your involvement in improving our water well by changing the plunger seal and repairing the hand pump. We are now able to access clean water water for the school and community. We look forward working with you next time.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Onong'no Primary School in Nyando sub-county, in Kenya's Kisumu County, has about 600 students. They and the surrounding community have relied for years on a well within the school grounds to supply safe water for both school and household needs.

However, when the well pump suddenly broke down several months ago, students and families were forced to start buying water, which was proving to be very expensive.

Everyone was relieved when Lifewater Canada donors funded repairs to the pump. Now, the children and adults have water that is safe and easily accessible.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
