Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

For a long time, people in Gwani cried and hoped for someone to address their water needs. The hand-powered pump on the community's only well failed several years ago and no one was able to fix it. To meet their water needs, the children and adults of Gwani would walk a kilometre to and from the nearest river.

When Lifewater's repair team arrived, children were chanting "welcome! welcome!" The entire community was excited to know we would rehabilitate their well, including replacing the broken hand pump. Now there is safe and accessible water for everyone, thanks to Lifewater donors.
