A message from the community

On behalf of the Kiambiria Secondary School, I, the principal, Virginia Wanjiku, want to thank the donors for repairing our school's water pump. Thank you for making us and the community have access to clean water again.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Kiambiria Secondary School has 153 students. When the hand-powered pump on the school's well broke down for three months, students were forced to walk back and forth to the nearest river to gather water for their drinking and sanitation needs. The river water was far from clean.

Lifewater Canada donors came to the students' rescue by repairing the broken pump -- enabling the school and surrounding community to regain access to safe drinking water.

Everyone is very grateful, says School Principal Virginia Wanjiku.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
