Israel Town is in Margibi County. The community has had a water well since 2018 but it stopped working recently, due to a broken hand pump. This forced residents to begin buying water they could barely afford, or to gather water from old hand-dug wells that are prone to contamination.

When the Lifewater repair team arrived and (thanks to our donors) repaired the hand pump, it was a joyous moment for the people of New Israel. They said the restoration of their safe water source brings them relief and prevents them from getting sick. The locals also said they appreciate the Lifewater family and promised to take good care of the pump.
