A message from the community |
We greet you in the name of our lord, Jesus Christ. We, the dwellers of Old Kaymah Town, are very grateful for you fixing our hand pump. We will always remain grateful. George Howard and Amelia Fiomo, Community Leaders |
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
Kaymah Town is in Margibi County. The community has had a water well since 2015 but about a year ago, the well's hand-powered pump failed and water stopped flowing. This forced local people to begin gathering water from potentially contaminated creeks and swamp streams. Thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited Kaymah Town recently and repaired the hand pump. The locals were very happy to have safe and accessible water again. The community's leaders extended many thanks to Lifewater and our donors for restoring their hope and eliminating their need to search for safe drinking water. |
