A message from the community

We want to take this time to appreciate you for your support by coming to our aid and fixing our hand pump.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Perkin Town is in rural Margibi County, with most residents being members of the Kpelleh tribe, Liberia's largest ethnic group. Many of the locals are pumpkin farmers.

Several years ago, Lifewater drilled water wells in Perkin Town. But about three months ago, after much wear and tear, the hand-powered pumps on the wells began failing. This forced locals to drink from potentially contaminated creeks and rivers.

Thanks to our donors, Lifewater returned to Perkin Town recently and repaired the hand pumps, including this one. The repairs brought great relief to the residents who thanked Lifewater and our donors for providing them with safe water again.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
