Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Stephen A. Tolbert Community is in the Gardnerville area. Lifewater drilled a well there in 2018. About three months ago, due to long-term use, the hand pump on the well failed.

Students at the local school began walking 90 minutes round-trip each morning in search of safe water for their daily needs. Some residents began buying from local vendors. Other residents who couldn't afford these purchases began drinking from old, hand-dug wells that are often contaminated -- risking diarrhea and waterborne diseases.

When Lifewater arrived recently and repaired the broken hand pump, enabling safe and accessible water to begin flowing again, the community celebrated. Locals extended their thanks and appreciation to Lifewater and our partner, the Murphy Rotary Club in North Carolina, for restoring their hand pump and their community.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
