Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Kyambu Primary School in Mwingi Central, in Kenya's Kitui County, has 150 students. The school would not have water for as long as annual droughts persisted because whatever could be harvested during the rainy season would run out shortly after. Lifewater Canada donors greatly enhanced the capacity of the school to harvest rain by providing a catchment system which includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and hand-washing station. Now the students and staff have enough water year-round for not only drinking but also hand-washing. This has improved everyone's health and hygiene. |
