We, the Musovo Primary School community, thank you for the provision of a water tank and hand-washing station. We are now assured of harvesting more rainwater and having enough to serve as for a long time. May you be blessed immensely.

Musovo Primary School in Nguni, Mwingi Central in Kenya's Kitui County, has 376 students. They would collect water from a nearby reservoir for their drinking and hygiene needs. But because this water was untreated, students and staff would sometimes contract waterborne diseases.

In response, Lifewater Canada donors provided a rainwater harvesting system which includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and hand-washing station. The system is meeting everyone's drinking and hygiene needs, says student Caroline Mueni.

Because the water in the tank is much safer than the water from the reservoir, students are healthier and attending classes more regularly, which offers them a brighter future.
