We, the Kyazendu Primary School community, wish to sincerely thank you for the provision of a water tank and the hand-washing station. We teach and care for very young students who need a watchful eye and water for drinking and cleaning purposes. We now have that. We appreciate your support. Winnie Wamathenge, Community Leader |

Kyazendu Primary School in Nguni region, Mwingi central in Kenya's Kitui County, has 65 students. They never had any water for drinking or sanitation because the small school could not afford to buy water or the equipment to harvest and store rain. Lifewater Canada donors responded by providing a rainwater harvesting system which includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and a hand-washing station. Now The students are experiencing a healthier lifestyle because they have enough water throughout the year to meet their drinking and sanitation needs. There is no fear of running out of water before the rainy season when the tank is filled up again. |
