Students and teachers at Kyaangu Primary school wish to thank you for the provision of the rainwater catchment system and a handwashing station at our school. We are happy that our students can wash their hands, and they have safe water for drinking. God bless you. John Musyoka, Community Leader |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Kyaangu Primary School in Nguni, Mwingi Central, in Kenya's Kitui County, has 355 students. The school relies on rainfall for water. Given that the rains are rare, and that there is very little storage capacity, the school has been unable to harvest enough water during the rainy season to last through the dry season.
But thanks to our donors, Lifewater recently installed at the school a rainwater catchment system which includes a 10,000-storage tank and handwashing station.
Now, students at Kyaangu Primary School are cultivating a practice of handwashing and drinking safe water because they have the resources and facilities to do so. |
