Thank you so much, Lifewater Canada, for this amazing gift at our school. Our students are blessed to have enough water that is safe enough for drinking, and a permanent structure to wash their hands. May God bless you. Joyce Mwikali, Community Leader |

Nzikani Primary School in Nguni, Mwingi Central in Kenya's Kitui County, has 167 students. Because of the water scarcity in the region, which make water purchases very expensive, the school would operate without water except for some occasional cooking projects. This meant boys and girls had nothing to drink or any water with which to wash their hands. Lifewater Canada donors bought the school a rainwater harvesting system which includes a large 10,000-litre storage tank and handwashing station. Now the school can gather and store enough water during the rainy season to meet everyone's drinking and hygiene needs during the dry season. The students say they enjoy being able to drink when they need to, and having improved hygiene. |
