Water scarcity was a serious problem for the Kutu community. Residents depended on a small pond that disappears during the dry season. The pond water has sparked outbreaks of cholera and other waterborne diseases. The time needed to walk to and from the pond has kept many of Kutu's children out of their classrooms -- helping to ensure they remain impoverished.

Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, Kutu has two new wells (including this one) that are providing safe and accessible water. Community members are glad and expressed their appreciation for the work God is doing through Lifewater Canada.
