A message from the community

The members of this great community, Angwan Kwano, appreciate your efforts. May the Lord almighty bless you with good workers.

Elisha Yakubu, Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Angwan Kwanu is one of six communities clustered together in rural Nigeria. They had a water well but it failed.

This left the communities dependent on a nearby stream. Residents understood the health implications of drinking from a contaminated source and not maintaining basic hygiene practices but they had no choice. During our team's visit, we saw many malnourished children, often too sick to attend school.

Lifewater rehabilitated the broken well, including replacing its hand-powered pump. Thanks to our donors, the lives and health of people in all six communities have improved dramatically.
