A message from the community

We would like extend our appreciation to you for visiting us to support Bungu community. The scarcity of water in our area made us walk long distances in search of water as a precious commodity. With the help of STADA Kenya in partnership with Lifewater Canada, we have water. Thanks for repairing the pump on our water well which broke down one year ago.

   -- Bungu widows and orphans.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Bungu's well was drilled in 2006 to provide water for orphans and widows in the region, and by extension, the whole community. The well was meeting the needs of about 120 households before its hand-powered pump failed a year ago.

Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, we partnered with STADA to repair the pump so the community has safe water again.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
