A message from the community

We, the Okana Primary School community, appreciate the good job your team did for this school. We now have access to clean and safe water for drinking after they successfully fixed our broken water pump. This will also see school activities run smoothly.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Okana Primary School has 506 students. There is a well to meet their water needs for drinking and sanitation. However, when the hand-powered pump on the well broke down a few months ago, the school couldn't afford to fix it or to buy water. Instead, students would go without water and be exposed to poor hygienic conditions and diseases.

Lifewater Canada donors recently funded the pump's repair, giving the school and the surrounding community safe water again.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
