The people of Esu Boknu Kwaka had no choice but to drink water polluted by domestic animals. The water was a significant source of disease and infection in the community, affecting young and old. Despite the water being unsafe, women and children would wake up early to walk to the distant stream, then return home tired from carrying their heavy buckets. But thanks to our donors, Lifewater has drilled a new well in the community and safe, accessible water is available to everyone. "We appreciate Lifewater Canada supporters for drilling the well," said Sule Yakubu, a young man living in Esu Boknu Kwaka. "May God almighty bless you all." |
