Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Toba Ijah Gbagyi is a densely populated area where for many years, the only sources of water were dirty streams and rivers or a well in a distant community. The streams and rivers made people sick. Walking to and from the far-away well used valuable time that women needed for other household responsibilities and that children needed to be in school. And the large number of people waiting to fetch water from the well often led to arguments or fights among those wanting to be first. During our visit, thanks to our donors, we drilled a well and installed a hand-powered pump so the people of Toba Ijah Gbagyi have all the safe and easily accessible water they need. |
