Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The dry season at Lawal Gwadabe Primary School Lawal is a time of drought and extreme heat. The nearby pond and hand-dug wells, both of them open to the elements and therefore unsafe sources for drinking water, dry up. The school has a deep and enclosed water well, but its hand-powered pump failed about a year ago -- leaving the students and staff with no safe water source and feeling very hopeless.

Thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited and rehabilitated the well, including replacing the broken-down pump. Safe water is flowing again. The work has brought joy to the school community. Everyone can now face the next dry season without fear.
