Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Angwan Madaki is an extension of the fast-growing Sabon Wuse community. Many people have moved there to take advantage of the community's low cost of living and proximity to the capital city of Abuja. As the population has grown, so has the demand on Angwan Madaki's water well. So unfortunately, the well's hand-powered pump eventually failed. That forced residents to get water from unsafe sources -- ponds and open hand-dug wells -- or from expensive local vendors.
During our recent visit, thanks to our donors, we rehabilitated the well and replaced the broken hand pump to ensure safe water is flowing again in Angwan Madaki. Grateful residents, after having clean water for the first time in a long while, were so excited that they invited us to a feast involving the entire community. |
