When the hand-powered pump on their well failed, the students and staff at Central Primary School in Izom didn't have enough water to drink, to wash, or to use in their toilets. This caused widespread thirst and very unsanitary conditions at the school and in the surrounding community. Thanks to Lifewater donors, our team visited recently and replaced the broken pump. Safe water is readily available to everyone again for drinking, hygiene, and sanitation. |
