A message from the community |

All of us in Hongo Radhiang Primary School and the whole community wish to express our utmost gratitude to Lifewater Canada for replacing our hand pump. We had been out of clean water for over two years, with only unreliable and sporadic rainfall. So we feel blessed that our hand pump is working again. -- Community Leaders |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

When the hand-powered pump on their well stopped working two years ago, it left Hongo Radhiang Primary School and the surrounding community with no access to safe water. More than 500 children and adults had to begin drinking from the nearest river. This water is contaminated and therefore, it put everyone at risk of contracting diarrheal diseases. But recently, thanks to our generous donors, Lifewater replaced the broken pump and restored everyone's access to safe water. |
