A message from the community

Mbega Kounda Community in Kisumu County is grateful for the replacement of our hand pump. Thanks to the Lifewater team, we now have clean water.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

There was no safe water in Mbega Kounda after the hand-powered pump on the community's only well stopped working. Children and adults were forced to walk to and from contaminated rivers, which led to the spread of water-borne diseases. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada has replaced the broken hand pump, enabling the community to have safe water again. We thank our donors for this.
