The people of Esu Boknu Kwaka have, after the hand pumps on their three wells failed, put up with drinking water from a distant stream that is polluted by domestic animals. This water was a significant source of disease and infection in the community, affecting both young and old. But recently, thanks to our donors, Lifewater visited Esu Boknu Kwaka and replaced the broken pumps on all three wells (including this one) so safe water and easily accessible water could begin flowing again. "We appreciate Lifewater Canada for replacing the pumps in our community," said Sule Yakubu, a young man who was delighted to see the impact of our donors. "May God almighty, who chose you to wipe away our tears, bless you all." |
