The people of Varney Town are grateful to Lifewater Canada and Service to Servants for the training done in our village. We learned that some diseases can be prevented just by observing personal cleanliness. The Health and Hygiene workshop was very beneficial to us.

The community of Varney Town has safe water, thanks to the repair of the hand pump on the local well through the generosity of Lifewater Canada donors in partnership with Service to Servants, a non-government organization in Liberia.
However, residents still knew very little about Health and Hygiene. But through the further support of our donors, Service to Servants visited the community to teach children and adults the importance of health, hygiene, and sanitation. The lessons focused on personal hygiene and on protecting the environment, including water sources.
