We are so happy to finally have access to clean and safe drinking water from our village well. Thank you Lifewater Canada and Service to Servants for fixing our broken hand pump.

It is very common for children living in Duazon village to drink from the village hand pump, just has they have been taught by their parents. But when the children cannot access clean drinking water from the well, they drink water they can access which is usually from the creeks or open hand dug wells. This then results into diseases such as diarrhea amongst children This was the pattern in the village of Duazon for one month when the hand pump on their well was broken, making clean water inaccessible.

However, though the generosity of our donors, we repaired the broken hand pump, thus making clean and safe drinking water available to both the young and old in Duazon community.
