The community has around 2000 people, and too few wells to keep up with demand. This well will help alleviate long line ups at existing wells, and the purchasing of water to supplement what water can come from the wells. It is 25 minutes to get to the well, and some members fetch water 3 times a day. Some people are spending 1050 Gourdes per week on bagged water. |
