A message from the community |

The members of Jakawino community, wish to say thank you to Lifewater Canada and Stada Kenya for taking care of our water needs by drilling a new well in our community. We are so blessed to have access to clean and safe drinking water for the first time in our community. May God bless you all. ---Community Leaders |

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

For years, people living in Jakawino village in Kenya's Kisumu county did not have access to clean drinking water, this is because the community did not have a nearby source of clean water. Everyone would collect water from a nearby river because it was all they could afford. But not anymore, because Lifewater Canada afforded the residents of Jakawino community by partnering with Stada Kenya to drill a well for the community, and install a new hand pump. Everyone in Jakawino village is happily drinking and washing from the village's new well. |
