Tannisue Town

On March 24, 2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted for the people of Tennisue Town and 31 people attended. The town of Tennisue is located in central Liberia. This community is within the Bong County & the District of Sanoyea, approximately three hours drive from Monrovia. This populated town of 3,400 people, lacks almost all basic infrastructure needed. There is electricity available, but there are no good roads, school, and no safe drinking water. Most of the people in this community sell products at the market from farming and palm oil production. Most of the children are unable to attend school because they have to work as well to provide for the family's basic needs. The only source of water available to this community was the nearby creek, which was unsafe and consistently going dry. Due to the lack of safe water, many have suffered from illnesses, and some severe and life threatening. The provision of safe water for this community will increase the quality of life significantly. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
