Cephas Town

We have been drinking dug well and creek water for a while which was not safe for us. We say a very big thank you for bringing safe clean drinking water to our community. This large community is located in Bong Mines, along the Handii Highway. It is about a 10-15 min walk from the bus stop. Although Cephus Town is a densly populated town, it had no hand pumps and only one dug well in the entire area which has a very slow recharge and allows only a few buckets to be drawn at a time. This problem is compounded whent he upper portion of the community's water source goes dry and they too come to draw from this 1 well. Needless to say they are thrilled with this new water point. It will provide water to this large community of people giving them safe drinking water and giving them a better quality of life. A Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted on April 21,2017 and 27 people attended. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's.
