On April 23,2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted having 34 participants. Bassa Town is located in Bong Mines City, not far from the Bong Mines bus stop. This large community is mainly women and children who earn their living by selling mango trees. This area is very wet from heavy rainfall, and unprotected open wells were the only source of water, the children would walk very long distances to other communities to get safe drinking water, and some of these wells were constructed by Lifewater. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
