On June 23, 2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was held for the people, the 37 participants promised to put in to action all that they were taught. 

Karkaiku (Kitoku) Town is located along the Bong Mines road a few minutes drive from the Bong Mines bus stop. This populated community of mostly women and children earn a living by making charcoal to sell. There was no hand pump in this community only a hand dug well. 

With the timely intervention of Lifewater Liberia Inc, the people of Karkaiku (Kitoku) Town now have a modern Afridev hand pump, providing safe water.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
