A message from the community |

Dear Lifewater and Sponsor, On behalf of the Rock Crusher community, we want to take this time to say thank you so much for the modern hand pump that you have constructed in our community. Life in our town is very hard. Even small girl childs are found here hitting rock with iron bar to make gravel that we sell. But now their burden is eased some as they don't have to spend so much time and sweat hauling water and can be more in school with the boys. We pray that almighty God will richly bless you all. Thank you, Mr. Darwuo |

This community is located along the Robert International Airport highway. It is a very large community. The issue of safe drinking water has been a major challenge for the residence of this community. People of Rock Crusher rely on open hand dug wells for their source of water. These wells do not have enough water to meet the population size of the community couple with the drop in the water table during the dry season has been the problem of the people of Rock Crusher community. Rock Crusher community comes from diverse backgrounds, a larger number of the population are young people whom are basically engage with schooling activities while other who do not have the financial support are engage in petite trade for their livelihood. This pump erected by our team has receive huge commendation from the entire community for such a timely gesture. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to God Almighty for loving hearts that continue to make available safe drinking water for the most vulnerable women and children who are in dying need. A Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted on Dec 6, 2017 with 27 participants. This new well gives them a hope for a healthier future. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
