Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, We the citizens of Kpanay Town Community, want to give thanks to you for your hard work done in Grand Bassa County and especially in Kpanay Town for giving us safe drinking water. For the past seven years we have been drinking from an unsafe well in the area we live. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Sincerely yours, Jerry Kpah, Zone Leader
Kpanay Town Quarter #4 This lowland area has plenty of trees for shade in this community, however during the rainy season extreme erosion and run off takes place which contaminates the open hand dug wells. In this community almost every house has its own hand dug well, but because of consuming this contaminated water many people suffer with sickness and disease. The Lifewater Health &Hygiene Team conducted a workshop on May 5, 2018 teaching them the basic methods to restore and maintain a healthy life. Lessons were taught on the importance of washing their hands with safe water, keeping their environment clean, and protecting their bodies by drinking safe clean water. They thanked the Lifewater Team for the Workshop and for the New Hand Pump, giving them safe water to use and drink. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
