Dear Lifewater & Sponsor,

On behalf of the residents of Jerko Town, we would like to extend to you our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your thoughtfulness in seeing to it that we have safe drinking water. 

Prior to the construction of the hand pump many of us had to look around for safe water or result to the use of unsafe hand dug well water. Now we no longer have the headache of going long distances or worry about the use of unsafe water.

We whole heartedly thank you again!

This large community of 650 people is located along the Orphanage Home Highway just a few minutes drive from the well known Community Daycare School named Fred Mart Day Care and Elementary School. 

The people here have had great hardship because of the lack of water especially in the dry season, and they do not have money to pay for a well. This new well brings them Health & Hope and provides them and their families with safe drinking water for many years to come.

On August 15,2018 a Health & Hygiene workshop was conducted with 22 participants. The people learned how to take good care of their community, how that practicing good health and hygiene and only drinking safe water will help prolong their life.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
